DBM SEC. PANGANDAMAN AT DFA SEC. MANALO, LUSOT NA SA C-A

LUMUSOT ng walang kahirap-hirap sa makapangyarihang Commission on Appointments si Secretary Amenah Pangandaman ngayon Miyerkoles.

Si Pangamdaman ay itinalaga ni Pang. Bongbong Marcos, Jr. noong June 30, 2022.

Nagtapos si Pangandaman ng bachelor’s degree in economics sa Far Eastern University at master’s degree at certification in development economics mula sa University of the Philippines.

Nagsimula si Pangandaman ng kanyang karera bilang researcher ng Senate of the Philippines, Nagsilbing chief of staff ni dating Senate president Edgardo Angara noong 2007.

Naglingkod din sya bilang staff sa Senate finance committee na dating pinamunuan ni Senate President Protempore Loren Legarda.

Si Pangadaman ay nagsilbi rin bilang Assistant Secretary mula 2016 hanggang 2018 at Undersecretary mula 2018 hanggang 2019 sa Department of Budget and Management sa pamumuno ni Sec. Benjamin Diokno..

Sa sponsorship ni Senadora Grace Poe, chairperson ng C-A Committee on Budget and Management, pinuri nito ang serbisyo at husay ni Pangandaman sa pagtatrabaho sa loob ng dalawang dekada.

“During that stint, she was the group head of the Office of the Secretary and was a “key mover” in the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of the General Appropriations Act or national budget. She joined the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) in 2019 as a technical adviser and later became managing director of the Office of the Governor and Executive Offices. In 2021, she became an assistant governor,” ayon kay Poe.

Sinuportahan naman ni Senator Alan Peter Cayetano ang kumpirmasyon ni Pangandaman bilang DBM Secretary.

“She is a woman in a predominantly men in the Cabinet. She is the daughter of muslim and christian parents. No objection and we wish her well!,” ayon kay Senator Alan Peter Cayetano

Kasabay nito, nakumpirma na rin ng CA si Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo.

Si Manalo ay nagsilbing Philippine Ambassador to the United Kingdom mula 2011 hanggang 2016, Undersecretary for Policy of the Department of Foreign Affairs mula 2016 hanggang 2020, at 21st Permanent Representative of the Philippines to the United Nations mula 2020 hanggang 2022. -END-

LABIS na napinsala ang ilang lugar sa Brgy. Carlagan, Burdeos, parte ng Polillo Group of Islands sa Quezon province matapos manalasa ang bagyong Karding nitong Linggo.

Sinabi ni Philippine Red Cross chairman Richard Gordon nasira ang maraming kabahayan, mga pananim at istruktura tulad ng paaralan at iba pa.

Ayon kay Gordon, patuloy ang Philippine Red Cross assessment sa pagpunta sa mga apektadong lugar upang alamin ang mga pangangailangan ng mga komunidad at nanawagan na rin siya ng tulong para sa mga biktima ng bagyo.

NAMATAY ang limang rescuers sa kasagsagan ng bagyong Karding matapos tangayin ng tubig baha sa Barangay Camias, San Miguel, Bulacan nitong Linggo ng gabi.

Nabagsakan umano ng pader ang limang rescuers habang sakay ng bangka para saklolohan ang ilang residente doon.

“Meron tayong casualty na lima. Lima po, ating PDRRMO (Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office) galing probinsya, mga nag-rescue. Sila po ang namatay dahil tumama po doon sa pader,” ayon kay San Miguel Mayor Roderick Tiongson

Nakilala ang limang nasawi na sina Narciso Calayag, Jerson Resurecion, Marvy Bartolome, George Agustin at Troy Justin Agusin.

Digital transformation helps nations keep up: Pres. Marcos

During his recent UN General Assembly address, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. emphasized the importance of digital transformation in allowing countries to keep up with the rapidly changing global environment.

While digital innovations may provide solutions to long-standing issues, nations must have robust governance structures in place to mitigate disruptions, according to PBBM. He went on to say that the digital shift would also make information more accessible, benefiting the most vulnerable people and accelerating progress.

MANILA – Digital transformation would allow all nations to keep abreast of a changing world, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. said on Wednesday (Manila time).

Marcos issued the statement during the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York City, as he lamented that many nations still “barely understand” the use and advantage of digital technologies.

Marcos pitched for the rapid adoption of digital innovations to enable all countries to keep up.

“The development of advanced technologies is rapidly transforming human life and experience. We still barely understand how these transformations are unfolding and where they are leading. The imminent diffusion of these emerging technologies could solve many of our old problems, but they could also disrupt our political and social orders. Our governance structures must keep up,” he said.

“The world is ready for transformation. It is up to us as leaders of our nations, to move and shape that transformation” Marcos added.

HINIKAYAT ni Pangulong Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos, Jr. ang mga Pinoy sa Amerika na umuwi na sa Pilipinas

Ginawa ni Pangulong Marcos ang pahayag sa kanyang talumpati sa harap ng 1,200 Filipinos mula sa ibat-ibang lugar sa United States (US) at Canada gathered nitong September 18 sa New Jersey Performing Arts Center.

Pinuri ni PBBM ang lahat ng Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) sa naging kontribusyon nila sa post-pandemic recovery at pinasalamatan din ang mga frontliner sa kanilang kabayanihan sa pagtupad sa tungkulin noong kasagsagan ng pandemya.

Ayon nay Marcos, dapat umuwi na ang mga Pinoy para baliktarin ang kalakaran ngayon na ‘brain drain’ sa Pilipinas at tumulong na mapaangat ang bansa.
