HEARING ON CONSTITUTIONAL CHANGE CONTINUES.

HEARING ON CONSTITUTIONAL CHANGE CONTINUES.

Sen. Robinhood Padilla stresses anew the importance of approaching the discussion on Constitution with open eyes as he presides over the 4th hybrid hearing of the Committee on Constitutional Amendments and Revision of Codes Tuesday, September 13, 2022, on proposals to review and propose amendments to the 1987 Constitution. Padilla said it should be the mission of legislators and all Filipinos to understand the Constitution because the nation’s development depends on it. One of the resource persons, Atty. Anthony Abad Jr., Ateneo de Manila University School of Law professor, congratulated Padilla for his advocacy on constitutional change. “I think this is an act of courage on your part. It is both patriotic and heroic.

So far from what I’ve seen in the long history of our legislature, what you’re doing now is historic. If this prospers, you would have the thanks of many unborn Filipinos. The next generation will reap the benefits of the amendments to the Constitution,” Abad said. (Senate PRIB)
